Washrooms Cleaning Checklist

  • Clean and Disinfect Toilets (Seats, Bowls, and Handles)
Thoroughly clean and disinfect the toilet, including the seat, bowl, and handles. Use a strong disinfectant to ensure that germs and bacteria are removed. Pay extra attention to high-touch areas like the flush handle and seat hinges.

  • Clean and Disinfect Sinks, Taps, and Countertops
Clean and disinfect the sink, taps, and countertop areas. Remove soap scum, toothpaste, and any other residues from the sink and faucet areas. Use a disinfectant cleaner to sanitize these surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment.

  • Wipe Down and Disinfect Mirrors
Clean the mirrors to remove any smudges, watermarks, or toothpaste stains. Use a glass cleaner to leave the mirrors streak-free and sparkling.

  • Clean and Polish Fixtures (Soap Dispensers, Paper Towel Holders, etc.)
Wipe down and polish fixtures such as soap dispensers, paper towel holders, and toilet paper holders. Ensure that these items are free of fingerprints, soap residue, and any dirt buildup.

  • Empty and Sanitize Waste Bins
Empty the waste bins and replace liners as needed. Sanitize the interior and exterior of the bins to prevent the buildup of bacteria and odors, especially if the bin is used for sanitary waste.

  • Sweep and Mop Floors (Paying Special Attention to Corners and Around Toilets)
Sweep the floor to remove dust, dirt, and debris. Then mop the floors with a suitable disinfectant cleaner, paying special attention to corners, under sinks, and around toilets where dirt and grime tend to accumulate.

  • Clean and Disinfect Door Handles, Light Switches, and Other High-Touch Surfaces
Wipe down and disinfect door handles, light switches, and any other high-touch areas that are frequently used by multiple people. This is crucial for maintaining a hygienic environment, especially in a shared space.

  • Remove Cobwebs from Corners and Ceilings
Check the corners and ceilings for any cobwebs or dust accumulation. Use a duster to remove any webs and keep the space looking clean and tidy.

  • Check for Any Maintenance Issues (Leaks, Loose Tiles, etc.)
Perform a quick inspection of the washroom for any maintenance issues such as leaks under sinks or toilets, loose tiles, or damaged fixtures. Report any issues that need attention to ensure the washroom remains in good working order.
