Reception Cleaning Checklist

  • Dust and Wipe Down Reception Desk & Surfaces
    Thoroughly dust the reception desk and all surrounding surfaces, including counters, shelves, and display areas. Wipe down with an appropriate cleaner to remove any stains, fingerprints, or dust buildup.

  • Clean and Disinfect Phones, Keyboards, and Office Equipment
    Clean and disinfect all office equipment that sees frequent use, such as phones, keyboards, and computer mice. Pay attention to high-touch areas to ensure they are free from germs and bacteria.

  • Vacuum or Mop the Floors
    Depending on the type of flooring, either vacuum to remove dust and debris or mop to maintain cleanliness and shine. Make sure to get into corners and under furniture to ensure no dirt is left behind.

  • Empty the Rubbish Bins
    Empty all rubbish bins, including those in the reception area and any nearby offices. Replace the liners and ensure the bins are wiped down if necessary to prevent any buildup of odors or stains.

  • Clean and Polish Glass Surfaces, Doors, and Windows
    Clean all glass surfaces, including doors, windows, and glass partitions, ensuring they are streak-free and sparkling. Polish glass surfaces to enhance clarity and remove smudges or fingerprints.

  • Wipe Down Light Switches and Door Handles
    Light switches, door handles, and other frequently touched surfaces should be wiped down with a disinfectant. This helps prevent the spread of germs and keeps these high-contact areas clean and safe.

  • Dust and Clean Furniture
    Dust all furniture in the reception area, including chairs, tables, and any other seating. Wipe down surfaces to remove any dust, stains, or marks. If applicable, clean upholstery with a suitable cleaner to maintain the furniture's appearance.

  • Tidy Reception Area, Including Magazines and Brochures
    Keep the reception area organized by tidying up any magazines, brochures, or other materials. Arrange them neatly on display tables or shelves and remove any outdated or irrelevant items.

  • Dust Artwork and Clean Frames and Glass
    Dust any artwork, frames, and glass surfaces, ensuring that the art pieces are free of dirt and smudges. Clean the glass around artwork carefully to preserve its clarity and ensure it enhances the overall look of the reception area.
