Kitchen Cleaning Checklist

  • Clean and Disinfect All Countertops
Wipe down all countertops with a suitable cleaner to remove food particles, spills, and stains. Use a disinfectant to ensure the surfaces are free from germs and bacteria, especially around food prep areas.

  • Scrub and Disinfect Sink, Taps, and Draining Board
Scrub the sink, taps, and draining board to remove any food residue, soap scum, and mineral deposits. Use a disinfectant to sanitize these areas and ensure they remain free from bacteria and stains.

  • Clean and Degrease the Stove and Oven (At an Additional Charge)
Degrease the stove and oven, including burners, knobs, and the stovetop. Clean inside the oven to remove food splatters, grease, and buildup. This can be done at an additional charge if deep cleaning is required for oven interiors.

  • Clean and Disinfect the Microwave (Inside and Out)
Clean the exterior and interior of the microwave, wiping down the front, sides, and handle. Inside, remove any food spills, splatters, or stains from the walls and turntable. Use a disinfectant cleaner to sanitize the interior surfaces.

  • Wipe Down and Disinfect All Cabinet Doors and Handles
Wipe down all kitchen cabinet doors and handles with a disinfectant cleaner. These areas are often touched frequently, so it's important to remove fingerprints, grease, and dust to maintain cleanliness.

  • Clean and Polish Stainless Steel Appliances
Clean and polish stainless steel appliances (refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.) to remove fingerprints, water spots, and any dirt buildup. Use a cleaner specifically designed for stainless steel to restore their shine.

  • Remove Food Particles or Grease Buildup from the Extractor Fan & Hood
Clean and remove any food particles, grease, or oil buildup from the extractor fan and range hood. Degrease the filters and ensure the fan is functioning properly to help ventilate the kitchen.

  • Sweep and Mop the Floors
Sweep the kitchen floor to remove dust, crumbs, and debris. Follow with mopping using a floor cleaner suitable for the type of flooring. Pay attention to high-traffic areas and under appliances to ensure the entire floor is clean.

  • Wipe and Disinfect Light Switches, Door Handles, and Other High-Touch Surfaces
Wipe down and disinfect light switches, door handles, and any other high-touch surfaces to reduce the spread of germs, especially in a kitchen where surfaces are frequently handled by different people.

  • Empty and Sanitize the Rubbish Bin
Empty the rubbish bin and replace the liner. Sanitize both the interior and exterior of the bin to prevent any odors, bacteria, or spills from lingering.

  • Remove Cobwebs from Corners or Ceilings
Inspect the corners and ceilings for any cobwebs and remove them. Use a duster or vacuum extension to reach high areas and keep the space looking neat.

  • Clean Kitchen Tables or Chairs
Wipe down kitchen tables and chairs to remove crumbs, spills, and stains. Pay attention to legs, backs, and seat cushions to ensure no food particles or dirt are left behind.
