Bedroom Cleaning Checklist

  • Dust All Surfaces, Including Furniture, Shelves, and Skirting Boards
Dust all furniture, shelves, and skirting boards to remove any dust, dirt, or allergens. Use a microfiber cloth to avoid pushing dust around and ensure thorough removal from surfaces.

  • Wipe Down and Disinfect Light Switches, Door Handles, and Other High-Touch Surfaces
Wipe down and disinfect light switches, door handles, and any other frequently touched surfaces to eliminate germs and bacteria. These areas are prone to buildup from regular contact.

  • Make the Bed with Fresh Linens
Change the bed linens, including sheets, pillowcases, and blankets. Smooth out the comforter or duvet and fluff the pillows to make the bed look neat and inviting.

  • Vacuum or Sweep the Floors, Paying Special Attention to Corners and Under Furniture
Vacuum or sweep the floor, ensuring you reach the corners and spaces under furniture where dust and dirt accumulate. This ensures that no debris is left behind and the floor looks clean.

  • Clean and Polish Mirrors
Clean the mirrors in the bedroom using a glass cleaner to remove smudges, fingerprints, and dust. Polish them to ensure they are streak-free and shine.

Clean and disinfect electronics like televisions, remote controls, and other devices. Use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe down screens and buttons to remove fingerprints, dust, and germs.

  • Empty and Sanitize Rubbish Bins
Empty the rubbish bins in the bedroom and replace the liners. Sanitize the bins’ interior and exterior to prevent odors and bacteria buildup, especially if the bin is used for food wrappers or other waste.

  • Dust Cobwebs from Corners or Ceilings
Check for and remove any cobwebs from corners or ceilings using a duster or vacuum extension. This ensures the room looks neat and free from any hidden webs or dust.

  • Wipe Down and Disinfect Window Sills and Blinds
